Editing, Adding, Deleting a Membership Item

Edit an Existing Membership Item

The Membership tab offers you the ability to edit an existing Membership Item when you need to update the Membership Type or Start/End Date. Membership items cannot have overlapping membership terms.

Example: If you need to add an Inheritance relationship to an existing member, you will have to edit the child's membership item to end yesterday so the new inherited membership will begin today.

  1. Click on the pencil icon

  2. The Update Membership Item box opens.

  3. You can select the Membership Type from the dropdown and/or edit the dates.

  4. Save

Note: The original membership item information no longer displays on this tab, once you save your edit.

 

Add a New Membership Item

The Membership tab offers you the ability to add a new Membership Item.

Note: A member cannot have membership items with overlapping dates.

  1. Click the add membership item link.

  2. The Add Membership Item box opens.

  3. Select the Membership Type from the dropdown.

  4. Select the Start and End Dates.

  5. Save

  6. Click on the money icon to create an invoice for this membership item.   Membership items added this way are not automatically associated with an invoice.  The Dues Amount will say N/A until an invoice is created and associated with this new membership item.

 

Delete a Membership Item

You can delete membership items created in error by clicking on the X on the same line as the Membership Item.

Note: You can not delete the only membership item for a member or a membership item associated to a paid invoice.
