Assigning navigation menus to navigation buttons
Once you have created navigation menus, it's easy to assign them to your navigation buttons. Just click on Navigation Menu Assignments from your Admin page.
On this page, you will see a map of all your permanent navigation buttons, plus a gray area that represents your Content area. This makes it easy to visually assign the right menu to the right button.
To assign a menu to a button, just click the NO MENU dropdown on the button in question. You will see a list of all your current navigation menus. Pick the one that you want to assign to this navigation button. Repeat for any other navigation buttons to which you want to assign navigation menus.
When you have finished assigning menus to buttons, click the Save Navigation Assignments button at the bottom. NOTE: Your selections will not be saved until you click this button. If you click a different admin link, your changes will be lost.
If there are any navigation buttons for which you have not created menus, and you want to create a menu for that button, simply click your Manage Navigation Menus admin link and create it (see Creating navigation menus for more information).
You do not have to assign a navigation menu to every navigation button, although you can if you wish. If a navigation button is set to NO MENU, then there will not be a navigation menu on that button.
IMPORTANT: If your site is in setup and does not have permanent graphics yet, your navigation menus will not work until your permanent graphics have been added. You can assign them by following these instructions, but you will not be able to see them on the front end of your site until after your permanent graphics have been added.
